These 23 Cities Are About To Get a New Culver’s (2024)

Have you ever tried a Culver’s ButterBurger or frozen custard? If not, you might soon get the chance to do so.

Culver’s recently announced plans to add 51 locations — and possibly more — in 14 states, which means you might find a new restaurant nearby to enjoy.

Check out this list to see if Culver’s is including your state in its expansion plans. Then, grab one of the top rewards credit cards and try the fare at this popular and fast-growing restaurant chain.

Alabama got its first Culver’s location in 2018 when a restaurant opened in Foley. Now, it appears that more locations are about to open in the state for fans to enjoy, including the following spots:

• 3 Recreation Drive, Oxford
• 23671 Canal Road, Orange Beach

Florida has the third-highest number of Culver’s locations in the country, at 102 restaurants.

Culver’s plans to open 13 new locations in the Sunshine State, the most in any state, including:

• 10 Summit Oak Place, DeLand
• 8400 Murano Del Lago Drive, Estero
• 4768 Hodges Blvd., Jacksonville
• 44 Lashley St., LaBelle
• 13320 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando
• 1801 U.S. 301 N., Palmetto
• 604 S. Tyndall Parkway, Panama City
• 2651 U.S. Highway 27 S., Sebring
• 2620 Stratton Blvd., St. Augustine
• 1311 Executive Center Drive, Tallahassee

Culver’s already has several locations throughout Georgia. Earlier this year, the chain opened a location in Valdosta, the first Culver’s to open its doors in the southern part of the state.

Additional locations are on the way, although Culver’s hasn’t said where they will be.

Illinois already has 135 Culver’s locations, making it the state with the second-highest number of Culver’s restaurants. More locations are reportedly on the way for Illinois.

One of the newest Illinois locations is in Washington. It opened its doors in March. The restaurant on North Cummings Lane saw lines wrap around the building on opening day.

Indiana is expected to get more new Culver’s restaurants in addition to the 78 locations already in the Hoosier State.

Culver’s is expected to open the following new locations:

• 6036 W Broadway, McCordsville
• 8970 High Pointe Drive, Newburgh
• U.S. 421 S., Zionsville

Two other locations in Marion and Troy are currently closed and being remodeled.

Kansas is welcoming new Culver’s locations, including:

• 3220 N. Maize Road, Wichita
• 18970 Gardner Road, Gardner

Culver’s also opened a new restaurant in Manhattan earlier this year. That event caused fans to line up at 5:30 a.m. so they could be the first inside when the doors opened at 10 a.m.

Midwest states seem to be particularly populated with Culver’s restaurants. There are 96 Culver’s locations in Michigan and one more will join the lineup:

• 3015 Lohr Road, Ann Arbor

A Culver’s will soon come to Lino Lakes and will include a 4,200-square-foot dining space as well as outdoor seating and a drive-thru:

• 7103 Otter Lake Road

Missouri will soon host a new Culver’s location:

• 9710 N. Oak Trafficway, Kansas City

Missouri residents can look forward to the famous Culver’s ButterBurger, which features butter on one side of its bun that gets warmed up before being plated with your favorite burger.

Culver’s has at least 15 restaurants in North Carolina, with more to come.

The restaurant opened a new location in Hickory last year and expects to open a new location in North Carolina:

• 3320 S. Peak Drive, Hope Mills

Ohio is on the list of states where Culver’s plans to open more new locations.

The company opened a new Culver’s in Hamilton earlier this year, and even the mayor of the city came to the opening to endorse Culver’s menu items.

South Carolina already has 11 Culver’s locations in the state, including one in Anderson that opened last year. Culver’s also is expected to open a restaurant in Beaufort this year.

Tennessee residents can already check their local Culver’s to find the featured custard flavor of the day: Restaurants are open in cities such as Franklin, Spring Hill, and Knoxville.

More new locations are on the way.

Culver’s was founded in 1984 in Sauk City, Wisconsin, and plans to open an additional two locations in the state later this year, bringing its total to 151 restaurants. Wisconsin has more Culver’s locations than any other state.

So, Wisconsin seems like an obvious place for Culver’s to expand. The new locations will be:

• 1165 Chippewa Crossing Blvd in Chippewa Falls
• 2557 North St., East Troy

Culver’s can now be found in more than two dozen states. The chain has a very Midwestern vibe, with menu items such as cheese curds or the Wisconsin Swiss Melt burger.

The restaurant also specializes in frozen custard, which is similar to ice cream. You can enjoy shakes, malts, sundaes, or root beer floats at Culver’s.

Culver’s has been on a steady pace of opening around 50 new locations each year since at least 2019. The franchise started out in 1984 in Wisconsin but didn’t open its first location outside the state until 1995.
